Planning my Wedding!

Photobucket

My fiance and I have been engaged since July 4, 2009 and we have set a date. Actually, we set the date a few months ago. It was really sweet how it happened. He was out of town for work and was planning a surf trip to Costa Rica and he called me and told me that he missed me and wanted to skip the surf trip and use the money so we can get married. I cried, happy tears!

Now we are set to marry on October 29th on the beach and I am realizing how much work is involved with planning a wedding. I finally chose my colors, beige and baby blue (for sand and water). I am currently collecting clear beer bottles to make my own personalized message in a bottle wedding invitations. I am very excited about these, they will be awesome. I have been looking at cute, beachy centerpieces and I think I am going to make these:

I won a beautiful wedding dress on Facebook. The dress is by Alfred Angelo and it is beautiful. I tried it on today and it fits great. It needs a few alterations, but nothing to dramatic. Here is my dress!!

I still have so many details to work out, but we are slowly getting there. If you have any cool ideas, let me know! I love to hear from my readers!

  2. Yey! Enjoy your time planning.

I just got married and my colors were similar, light blue, light beige, and white. Very clean and neutral. I'm in the process of doing recaps of our wedding, so maybe they will give you some ideas.

  4. Congrats on setting a date. I just got back from the beach for the first time and I loved it so I know a beach wedding will be beautiful. I don't have any good ideas but it seems like you are coming up with plenty of good ones on your own. I love how you're doing the invitations.
